GLOBAL GEOMATICS' COMMERCIAL MISSION TO JAPAN AND CHINA

LAVAL, May 31, 2000 - Fresh from its recent successful promotional endeavours in the European high technology marketplace, GLOBAL GEOMATICS now brings its world-leading mapping software expertise to bear on the Japanese and Chinese markets. Company executives are now on a commercial mission aimed at establishing business relationships with Asian companies and public sector and educational organizations looking to apply dynamic mapping technology in achieving their enterprise objectives. The mission will especially target technology firms dealing in Web-enabled cartography services such as online weather, road condition, tourism and travel information, and real-time online video gaming.

GLOBAL GEOMATICS is a recognized world-leader in Web-directed GIS development. We are among the top 6 GIS software editors in terms of quality, one of the 10 best producers of integrated high-performance GIS tools and cartographic data, arguably the best cartography-related Application Service Provider (ASP), and the host for today's biggest cartographic web sites dealing in maps, drawings, and photogrammetric and satellite images.

The company is the developer of the unique Open Geospatial Datastore Interface (OGDI) technology designed for accessing and diffusing voluminous, heterogeneous, spatially referenced data using intranets, extranets, the Web and wireless networks in any native format, in real time, and without the need for costly translation. Central to the technology is the Geographic Library Transfer Protocol (GLTP) exclusively designed by GLOBAL GEOMATICS for the transfer of geospatial information. OGDI is the only truly open-architecture, multi-platform mapping server software on today's market.

Comprising GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTS MANAGER ALBAN THOMANN AND RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR GUILLAUME JANDRELLE, the GLOBAL GEOMATICS mission will provide Japanese and Chinese enterprises with valuable information on how the company's OGDI-based software products and components:
Ř	Drive more than three-quarters of all current mapping Web-servers for Geographic Information Systems (GIS);
Ř	Geoenhance™ the most important database management and ERP systems currently in operation (Oracle8i™ and Informix);
Ř	Provide mission-critical cross-enterprise efficiency to currently operating (plus several in development) international ASP's in both Europe and North America;
Ř	Are used in the most advanced armed-forces reconnaissance, surveillance and C3I computer systems of the Canadian Department of National Defence, by such major defence contractors as TASC, and have been proposed to the  US Army;
Ř	Are an integral component of higher-education programs in various North American institutions;
Ř	Are key to the efficient access and delivery of geographic data and images of all kinds in the exploding fields of mobile, wireless computing and telecommunications, and multimedia and interactive content (online video games) delivery (the company has established strategic alliances with such wireless-device giants as QualComm and NTT).

The company executives will be in JAPAN (in TOKYO, and OSAKA) from June 5 to June 19, 2000, and in CHINA (in BEIJING) from June 20 to June 23, 2000.
